Bio:

Blake Alexander started his racing career like many other successful young drivers did, in a junior dragster. At age 11, he won the Mike Bos East Coast Nationals in just his second year, a race that had over 500 competitors. Blake stepped up to a Comp Eliminator A/AA at 16 where he made an initial pass at just under 200 mph. Blake reached the quarterfinals at the Richmond national event in this car. In February of 2011, Blake stepped up to Top Alcohol Dragster with continued support from Exide Batteries. He drove Larry Miersch’s A/Fuel Dragster at select national events while testing in the Nitro Funny Car. His TAD highlight came at Houston, where he reached the semifinals.

Blake’s jump to the highly competitive Funny Car class began in April 2011 at Atlanta. He attended Paul Smith’s Top Fuel School to further develop his skills as a driver. Once he earned his license in Dallas, Blake made his Funny Car debut a week later at the Auto-Plus Nationals in Reading, Pennsylvania driving the Auto-Plus car. Alexander continued racing the Funny Car in 2012, qualifying the Auto Service Plus/Gates Monte Carlo in almost all of the races he entered.

Blake enters his second full season in 2013 with upgraded parts and a new Dodge Charger body that will feature Uni-Select’s Auto Service Plus powered by Auto-Plus branding. Alexander will swap between that signage and the Gates Auto look at 12 races this year.
